KAMODO CANVASS
General terms
The basic terms for using our website and service.
Last updated:
1. Using Kamodo Canvass
These general terms apply to your use of the Kamodo Canvass website and service. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or service. If your agency has a separate written agreement with us, that agreement controls where it conflicts with these terms, including subscription, payment, support, and data-handling arrangements.
2. Authorized access and accounts
Use the service only with your agency’s authorization and within your assigned permissions. Keep your account credentials secure, do not share accounts, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access to your agency administrator. You are responsible for your use of the service and for following your agency’s policies.
3. Acceptable use
Use Kamodo Canvass only for lawful, authorized purposes. Do not access another agency’s information without permission, bypass security controls, disrupt the service, upload malicious content, or use the service to violate anyone’s privacy or other rights. Do not copy, resell, or redistribute the service without our permission, except as permitted by law or a written agreement.
4. Agency data and responsibilities
Your agency retains its rights in the information it submits. You must have authority to collect, enter, and share that information. You authorize us to process submitted information as needed to provide and support the service, subject to your agency’s agreement and applicable law. Your agency is responsible for determining what information is appropriate to enter and for meeting its records-retention, disclosure, and evidence-handling obligations. Confirm applicable security requirements with your agency before entering sensitive information.
5. Maps and operational decisions
Kamodo Canvass supports field coordination. Maps, parcel boundaries, addresses, and user-entered information may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. Verify information before relying on it for an operational decision. The service does not replace professional judgment, agency procedures, emergency communications, or independent verification of legal authority.
6. Our content and third-party services
The Kamodo Canvass software, branding, and website content belong to their respective owners. Access to the service does not transfer ownership of those materials. Third-party maps, data, links, and services may be subject to separate terms and may change or become unavailable.
7. Availability and limitations
We may update the service and temporarily interrupt access for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons. Unless a separate written agreement provides otherwise, the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the accuracy of third-party information. Nothing in these terms excludes obligations or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Suspension and ending access
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address misuse, a security risk, or a violation of these terms, subject to any applicable agency agreement. Your agency may also revoke your access. Data retention, return, and deletion following termination are governed by the applicable agreement and legal requirements; ending access does not itself establish a deletion schedule.
9. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms as the service develops. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date. Any additional notice or acceptance requirements under applicable law or your agency’s agreement will continue to apply.
10. Questions
For questions about these terms or your agency’s agreement, contact your Kamodo Canvass representative. For questions about account access or agency policies, contact your agency administrator.
